Reconstruction of road II/605 Holoubkov - Rokycany (Borek)

The topic of the master’s thesis is reconstruction of the the road II/605 between municipality of Holoubkov and municipality of Rokycany (Borek) including local adjustments of the road in urban area of municipality of Svojkovice. The reasons for this reconstruction are insufficient parameters of current condition of the road. In Svojkovice are solved adjustments of crossroads, bus stops, parking bays, pavements and bicycle paths.

Engineering geological mapping in the Karlovy Vary and Pilsen regions

The bachelor's thesis is focused on the evaluation of engineering geological mapping on a scale of 1: 5,000 in the territory of the Pilsen and Karlovy Vary regions (formerly the area of the West Bohemian Region). The work is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, a search of professional literature was carried out describing the methodology of creating engineering geological maps, consisting of preparatory work, field work and the actual completion of the entire elaborations. It also discusses the gradual development of engineering geological survey and mapping in the cross-section of the 1940s to the 1990s. In the practical part, 23 final, accompanying and interim reports are processed together with map, laboratory and documentation outputs. Map outputs at a scale of 1:5 000 were digitized using the QGIS software with the georeferencing tool in raster graphics. An orthophoto map and a state map from the 1950s were used as a basis for the fitting points.

Labour market and spatial mobility in Plzen region

The Czech Republic underwent considerable social, political and economic changes after 1989. An important step was the creation of the labor market where jobs and wages were created based on market supply and demand. Due to effects of these market forces, unemployment was an unavoidable consequence. . Closely related to this was workforce flexibility which over the years became increasingly important. People migrating for work also had an effect on the housing market. The main objective of this thesis is to analyze the labor market in the Plzeň Region and the related spatial mobility since 2000 (with a brief development in the 90's). Another important objective is to determine to what extent the migration of the population is affected by the labor market situation and developments in the housing market. Two major institutions were used as the data source for processing thse reviews. The Labour Market in the Plzeň Region was mapped on the basis of data from the Labour Office in Plzeň. Data on development of spatial mobility and the housing market was gained from the Czech Statistical Office online databases and also from the Regional Office of CSO in Plzen. The changes of transport flows and accesibility in Pilsen region in relation to the settlement system

The issue of transport is currently one of the most discussed topics, thanks to deepening regional differentiation causing increased demands on the quality of existing transport links. Especially the attractiveness of centers and the existence of good transport infrastructure, stimulating the development of the region (his success), is becoming one of the most debated issues of our times. This diploma thesis deals with the comparison and evaluation of changes in spatial interaction in the settlement of the Plzeň/ Pilsen region in two time slices (1991 and 2001). Analysis of the interactions of traffic will be done by using statistical methods and using GIS technology. Main attention will be paid to the spatial differentiation of the frequency of traffic flows and transport accessibility. Subsequently, the transport characteristics will be compared with the characteristics of the complex importance of settlement, so the basic relationships between these indicators can be found. The Synagogues in the Pilsen region

Annotation: This diploma thesis is focused on the synagogue buildings in the seven districts of the Pilsen region according to their architectural styles. Individual chapters describe the Jewish settlements in Europe and current Czech Republic territory in the historical context, the types of synagogues built in our country, their architecture, interiors, and the fate of synagogues of the Pilsen region. Information sources include available literature, regional writings, especially from the collection published by Hugo Gold, and publications about Jewish sites, especially from Jiří Fiedler, Blanka Rozkošná and Pavel Frýda's contributions on the website "Defunct municipalities". Information on the history of Jewish settlement in particular are based on the book "The Jews of medieval Western Christian world", the author of the book by Robert Chazan and "History of the Jews in Bohemia and Moravia", author Tomáš Pěkný.

School and community health promotion projects

The Diploma thesis focusing on the topic "School and community health promotion projects" with a focused on primary schools on the Pilsen region. The main aim of the study is to get a grasp of the offer of health promotion projects on primary schools. Furthermore, to find out the attitude of principals to these projects, what motivates them to participate in and how primary schools are supported in this area. A partial goal of this thesis is to create an overview of the offered projects which should help the principals of primary schools with the selection of the convenient one. The theoretical part of the thesis is based on the specialized literature, the information available on the official websites of each project, legislation and strategic documents related to primary schools which were valid at the time of creating this Diploma thesis. It deals with the definition of basic concepts related to the issue of health and health promotion and also presents individual projects promoting health. The practical part is drawn up on the basis of interviews with the principals of the selected primary schools. These interviews are the analyzed using open coding and thereafter interpreted. Regionální diferenciace podpory cestovního ruchu na venkově prostřednictvím PRV: srovnání Plzeňského, Karlovarského, Ústeckého a Libereckého kraje

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the support of rural tourism from the Rural Development Programme 2007-2013 in four chosen regions - Plzeň Region, Karlovy Vary, Ústí nad Labem and Liberec Region. The theoretical part of the thesis includes the literature research concerning the issue of rural tourism, rural areas and discusses the importance of this specific form of tourism for rural development and its application, especially with regard to the analyzed territory and its natural and cultural-historical potential for the development of various forms of tourism. The next part of the thesis deals with the financial support of tourism through the European funds, with an emphasis on the Rural Development Program and its conditions, followed by the detailed analysis of the projects supported by Rural Development Programme 2007-2013, measure III. 1.3. The main objective of this part is to evaluate the projects in relation to rural tourism and to find answers to the questions whether the support was concentrated in tourist attractive areas or how the projects utilize the natural-cultural attractions of the given area. It also includes a more detailed assessment of the support of agritourism, eco-agritourism and hipotourism as specific forms of rural tourism.

Title: The Analysis of the Development of Physical Capability of Fire Rescue Corps of the Czech Republic in Plzeň Region in 2012-2019 Objectives: The analysis of physical capability of members of Fire Rescue Corps in Plzeň region. The object of diploma thesis is to determine the current state of physical capability of members of Fire Rescue Corps. Moreover, to assess the development of physical capability in last seven years. Methodology: Obtaining data by asking staff members, literature study, processing theoretical basis, processing acquired data, the analysis of results Results: An average age of members of Fire Rescue Corps in Plzeň region is increasing. An average age is 40 years. The results of strength disciplines positively increase and physical capability in this field increase as well. On the contrary, the results of endurance disciplines deteriorate. The most surprising finding is a deteriorating result in running.
